Development and Current Internet

Internet Development

The Internet has made a new revolution in the world of computers and the world of communication has never previously suspected. Some discovery telegraph, telephone, radio, and computers is a series of scientific work that led to the creation of the Internet a more integrated and more capable than those tools. Internet has the ability to broadcast to the whole world, has a mechanism for information dissemination, and as a medium for collaboration and interaction between individuals and their computers without being limited by geography.
The Internet is a most successful examples of businesses that can never stop investment and commitment to research following the development of the information technology infrastructure. Starting with research on packet switching (packet switching), government, industry and the academic community have collaborated strive to change and create this exciting new technology.
The development of intenet history can be divided into four aspects:
1. The aspects of technological evolution that started from a research packet switching (packet switching) ARPANET (the following equipment technology) which at that time carried out further research to develop insights into the data communications infrastructure that includes several dimensions, such as scale, performannce / reliability, and kefungsian level high.
2. The existence of aspects of the implementation and management of a global and complex infrastructure.
3. The existence of social aspects resulting in a large community comprised of Internauts working together to create and develop these technologies continue.
4. The existence of commercial aspects generated in an extreme but effective changes from a study that led to the establishment of an information infrastructure that is great and useful. Internet is now a global information infrastructure (widespread information infrastructure), which was originally called "the National (or Global or Galactic) Information Infrastructure" in the United States. Its history is very complex and includes many aspects such as technological, organizational, and community. And the effect is not only to technical fields of computer communications but also affected the social issue as of now we do is we use a lot of props on line to achieve
an electronic business (electronic commerce), ownership information and interact with people.

Current Internet
Internet is guarded by bi- or multilateral agreements and technical specifications (protocol which describes the movement of data between the circuit). These protocols are formed by discussion of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), which is open to the public. The agency issued a document known as RFC (Request for Comments). Some RFCs are Internet standards (Internet Standard), the Internet Architecture Board (Internet Architecture Board - IAB). Protocols that are often used are IP, TCP, UDP, DNS, PPP, SLIP, ICMP, POP3, IMAP, SMTP, HTTP, HTTPS, SSH, Telnet, FTP, LDAP, and SSL. Some of the popular services on the Internet that use of these protocols are e / mail, Usenet newsgroups, file sharing (File Sharing), WWW (World Wide Web), Gopher, access the session (Session Access), WAIS, finger, IRC, MUD, and Mush. In between all this, email / electronic mail and the World Wide Web is more often used, and many other services are built upon them, such as mailing lists (Mailing List) and Weblog.
The Internet allows the current service (Real-time service), such as web radio, and webcasts that can be accessed around the world. Also through the Internet it is possible to communicate directly between two or more users through instant messenger programs like Camfrog, Pidgin (Gaim), Trilian, Kopete, Yahoo! Messenger, MSN Messenger and Windows Live Messenger. Some of the popular Internet service is based on closed systems (Proprietary System), is like IRC, ICQ, AIM, CDDB, and Gnutella.
